“Yup… Summit of Rainier, 14,410′ on August 3rd.  Seven hour slog up from Camp Muir at 10,000′ along the longest seasonal route on record.  Smoke from the BC forest fires gave it a bit of an otherworldly look, floating on a sea of beige.  I figured it was worth the weight to take the shirt! Some of the non-obvious goals of CrossFit — balance, agility — really came through; hopping some of the narrower crevasses and navigating narrow stretches.  I was definitely more confident on some of the dicier stretches than I would be otherwise.”
